The Phi Mu annual Man of the Year pageant will be held March 13, at 7 p.m. at Parra Ballroom. This is the fourth year the Phi Mu's held the pageant and this year's participants include Greeks, SGA members, and football players. It will be emceed by Mike Strahan, Homecoming King.
Each male member will participate in several rounds including formal wear, casual wear, interview, and talent. According to Phi Mu senator, Carrie Mouhot, talents will span from guitar playing to belly dancing.
The event will help raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network and it is expected to raise over $5000. The winner will receive a trophy, crown, sash, and gift basket as well as the title of Man of the Year.
There is a $2 entrance fee and there will be food and drinks served. The band Plaid Carpets will also be performing. Senator Mouhot states that all money raised will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network and that all the Phi Mu will receive will be "the left of foot to eat at the end of the night". The entire campus is invited to join the Phil Mu's in their fun fund raising effort.
