Registration for McNeese State University's fall 2008 semester is currently underway through July 11. Fall classes begin Aug. 18.

Students can go online to www.mcneese.edu and click on "Banner Self-Service" to begin the registration process.

Fee statements will be mailed to registrants July 25. The deadline to pay fees is 4 p.m. Aug. 13. Students who fail to meet the fee payment deadline will be dropped from class rolls.

The university Honors Day Ceremony will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. Monday, April 28, in Parra Ballroom.

Iota Phi Theta will host "Dollars and Sense," a presentation by Jose A. Vasquez, CEO of Mallard Investments, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, in the Business Conference Center.

Registration for all summer 2008 sessions ends Wednesday, April 30.

Alphi Phi Alpha will host an interest meeting at 8:06 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, in the Mariner Room. Business attire is required.

A workshop titled "The Use of Applied Behavior Analysis Techniques in Teaching Children with Autism" will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, in Parra Ballroom of the Student Union Annex at McNeese State University. Guest speaker is Ellen Brocato, behavior analyst and certified school psychologist.

This autism workshop is for parents, teachers and professionals and is sponsored by the McNeese student chapter of the Louisiana Association for Behavior Analysis and St. Nicholas Center for Early Intervention in Lake Charles.

Early registration is $45 per person and $50 per person at the door. Lunch is not included. Participants can go online to register at www.sncenter.org. For more information, call Carol Martin at 475-5459.

The MSU National Pan-Hellenic Council will host the inaugural "Hoops for Hunger" benefit basketball game at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in Memorial Gym. Admission is two canned goods.
